Overview

Low-cost Effect Processor and Keyboard Synthesizer

The SAM5504B is a member of the SAM5000 family of sound synthesis and audio processing ICs that uses the DSP array technology. The SAM5504B  includes four 24-bit DSPs, a general-purpose 16-bit CPU, a 24-bit Audio Router and a multi-channel audio DMA. With four DSP cores, the SAM5504B  allows 81-polyphony sound synthesis with effects generation.

Delivered in a low-cost 64-pin QFP package, the SAM5504B  provides up to 14-input/16-output audio channels and all communication and user interfaces required for supporting low cost keyboard, effect and professional audio applications.
